Abstract

The goal of cosmetic dentistry is to enhance the appearance of teeth with minimal damage. One of the most common treatments is restoring a smile by repairing damaged, crooked, or deformed teeth. Such procedures can significantly improve one's beauty, self-esteem, attitude, and social interactions. Veneers are a conservative surgical approach that removes only half of the enamel thickness before placement, leaving the rest untouched. Bonded laminate veneer repairs have been shown to produce good results for up to ten years in multiple clinical studies. Traditional dental veneer materials have several drawbacks, including the need for thick materials to mask discoloration, difficulties in polishing that can scratch opposing teeth, and a tendency to stain. The purpose of this article is to review the literature and highlight crucial factors for the long-term effectiveness of porcelain veneers, including case selection, tooth preparation, material selection, methods for strengthening of porcelain, cementationand Recent advances
